Arthur Watkyn’s comedies and drama.

Arthur Watkyn wrote brilliant dramas and comedies for stage, film and radio in the 1950s/60s.

Great british actors like Leslie Phillips, Wilfrid Hyde-White, Geraldine McEwan, Dirk Bogarde and Sir Michael Redgrave starred in them. He was also the British Film Censor, famed for introducing the “X” certificate.

He co-wrote Dr. Morelle with Ernest Dudley

The comedies depend on great situations, and twists and turns through the play, mixing humorous phrases, and classic mix-ups that occur. They have appeared on the London stage, but also in the USA, South Africa, Australia, France, Germany and even the Czech Republic.
